In this weeks episode of My Creative Journey, I speak all about the pursuit of busyness. The idea going around at the moment that says you always need to be busy. Some may describe it as hustle culture, but today I am going to give my own spin on it and let you guys know about a few experiences I have had with just being too busy. Working as a freelancer and setting my own daily tasks, it can sometimes be difficult to discern between what tasks are productive and which are just keeping me busy. If you never take a step back to think about what comes next, you can find yourself down a rabbit hole of just working with no clear business goal in mind. I have fallen into this trap of just being busy quite a few time over the years and in this episode I share some tips that have helped me slow down and be more productive at the same time. Part of being an artist and creating anything means that you will have critics, but criticism doesn't always have to be a negative thing. A skill we must all learn is to determine whether feedback is constructive, and if it is, how you can learn from it in order to improve.I speak from experience in this episode as it's the first episode that I actually told anyone about.
